Additional info & updates

*All scholarship amounts are a three year total.

The numbers that appear to the right of each school correspond to their respective rankings according to TLS.

Duke and Virginia are an automatic ding for me but I received a fee waiver from each. So what the heck.

While I originally wanted to go to the highest ranked school possible, I have now decided to stay in the southeast and go to a school that offers a great education mixed with some financial incentives.

I am applying late so we will see what happens.

1-21-10 Accepted into Baylor today! Scholarship Info on its way via snail mail.

01-26-10 Received scholarship info from baylor today. Deans academic scholarship ($117,432 over three years)

2-1-10 Accepted into LSU today via snail mail. No scholly info yet. Hopefully within a few weeks I will hear something.

I still have not gone complete at Alabama yet. Starting to wonder what is the deal.

2-22-10 Into University of Houston. No scholly info yet.

2-23-10 In at SMU!!!!!!! $30,200 per year! Way more than I was expecting!

2-23-10 Also was waitlisted at UVA which is like an acceptance for me considering my LSAT is low for them.

2-25-10 Full ride to LSU requiring I stay in the top 25%.

3-8-10 Accepted to Tulane via email. Called to inquire about scholarships and only received $20,000 a year (must maintain 3.0 gpa). This figure is a tad lower than expected. Going to withdraw from Tulane asap.

Good luck with your cycle! I'm getting mine out late too, but I can't really sit around for another year waiting for the next cycle.

Congrats on choosing SMU. I just made the same choice! If you're looking for a roommate, let me know. I'm probably going to look for a 3BR in the Village.
