2/22 - Dinged at Duke. First T14 Rejection. Oh well :)

3/2 - Accepted to WUSTL.

3/19 - WL at Cornell and Dinged at NYU.

3/30 - Rejected at Yale. Not surprising.

4/25 - Waitlisted at Harvard. I feel moderately pleased about this.

4/26 - Rejected at Stanford. Just waiting on Northwestern....

5/3 - Accepted to Northwestern.

And, after six months of this craziness, my cycle is officially over.

Mizzou

Hey LSP, should I apply to Mizzou? I got a fee waiver the other day. Have been thinking about it.

WUStL

I don't think I'm applying to WUStL. Mostly because I don't see myself in St. Louis and I don't want to be that far from home. Plus I haven't got a waiver! :) I have applied to the core schools I REALLY want and am pretty much only looking at waivers now.

@ cactuar - Nice to see you in these parts! Assuming the GULC is eventually confirmed of course, I dno. DC is one of my favorite cities, but UMich is an amazing school. I'll probably wait to see how the rest of my cycle turns out. Right now, I'm just enjoying my luck!

Thanks! I really love Michigan right now, but the money at UVA is hard to ignore (and no stipulations, just a 2.5). But, with that said, I'm a total government junkie so being at GULC would, also, be awesome.

We have very similar numbers and you applied to a lot of the same schools that I did. What do you mean by above average "softs"? I've seen that in several places, not sure what it means.

Softs are any factors that advance your application that are not numerical (such as GPA/LSAT). The more unique "soft" factors to your application, traditionally the better. This can include awards/honors, etc. The strongest types of softs are international scholarships, like being a Rhodes Scholar for example. Other exemplary softs include starting your own non-profit company or writing a best-selling novel. Beyond that there are average softs, like doing important internships, pursuing graduate degrees, etc. Basically, the more unique/rare and important your soft is, the more it will help surmount a low GPA/LSAT.

LSP, thanks! That explains what everyone is talking about, not so sure what I have. I think I have a few things that enhance my applications, but not anything amazing. Still crossing my fingers! Good luck and let me know if you end up in STL, I will most likely be there.
